Balboa Park Adventures

I got to go to Balboa park today! I wandered around the Spanish Village, the Botanical Building and the International Cottages.

My roommate joined me and we arrived at around noon and so we grabbed lunch near the Japanese Friendship Garden, the veggie curry is really good if you find yourself needing food while at Balboa park. While eating you can enjoy listening to the organ that is located nearby in the Organ Pavilion that is welcome to visitors to play. From there we headed over to the International Cottages to look at some local artists at the tables nearby and also popped into a few of the cottages.

Then I got to go into the Botanical Building at Balboa! It was gorgous!!! Full of greenery and flowers.

There was also an Orchid show nearby in the park so we went over to that and bought a few orchids and an air plant, one kind lady also gave us some seeds to plant.

On our way out we swung by the cutest little art gallery and picked up a few prints from Neal Evans. He has such a unique style that made me want to not be a broke college student and buy many of his masterpieces. I highly recommend that you check out his gallery if you ever find yourself in Balboa Park.
